Job Description
The Product Marketing Manager utilizes his/her understanding of MNC’s target customer needs, competitive environment, business opportunities and MNC’s global product line in order to:
• Work with the global product leaders to transition new products, services and revenue streams into the region;
• Provide input to global product teams on India/Asia specific product requirements, building business cases where appropriate
• Provide input to the Asia Leadership team India/Asia competitive landscape and competitiveness, including price performance of MNC’s offers, programs and products. KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS: • Works with Marketing Communications to manage product launches in India/Asia. Identify all launch activities and ensure requisite tasks are assigned to responsible parties. Coordinate launch team meetings and establish and then track activity and completion of project milestones
• Working with our sales channel in India, key customers, prospects and sales teams; develop a deep understanding of customer needs, translate those needs into product requirements. Create all necessary documentation as part of the product planning process including market requirements documents, business cases and dash-boards.
• With the support of the Global Product Lifecycle Program Management group, lead engineering, operations, marketing, sales, consulting and other teams through the product lifecycle process to deliver products on time & to specification. This includes those resources above based in our channel partner organizations.
• Develop, and maintain consistent product messages and value propositions. This includes definition of target audiences for MNC in India (Asia future state), their needs, key features and business benefits. Ensure that product descriptions, messages and value propositions are used consistently by all external-facing organizations and conduct revenue generating programs for promoting products to target groups and with the support of a Marketing Communications Group develop and deliver comprehensive sales and positioning materials (whitepapers, case studies, Q&A documents, webcasts, seminars, training and measurement) to effectively approach all markets and to position MNC as a thought leader in the space.
• Conduct market research into competitiveness of MNC’s product price performance in India/Asia, work with Asia finance to ensure competitive pricing of products.
• Participate in sales calls and customer facing activity as needed, including briefings
