Role title : Project Manager – Rice Project Business / Function : Food Security Agenda Role purpose • To execute the Rice Project in the designated geographies of Orissa, in coordination with e Kutir staff and with the support of XXX local business team members Accountabilities • Understanding the business model thoroughly • Identifying suitable resources (contract field staff), hiring and training them, giving clear instructions to them and monitoring their day to day activities and performance • Developing a good relationship with the local staff, ensuring their continuous support and interest in the project, and getting their involvement in all grower initiatives (meetings, demos, farmer training etc.) • Building a good relationship with e Kutir staff and co working with them for all project activities in the project area such as : o Identifying appropriate entrepreneurs for the project, training them, supporting them and monitoring their work o Capacity building at farmer level – identifying growers using pre-defined criteria, making them members of the project, o Understanding the e Kutir software, incorporating the xxxxx Rice Crop Solution in it with the help of e Kutir and xxxxx technical staff, and connecting it to the xxxxxx service centre, xxxxx agronomists and other experts as required • Appointing with local staff, a reliable commercial service partner (channel) to provide inputs and other services to the member farmers in the project area • Carrying out all other activities in the Project area that will ensure the execution of the project.
