Job Description:
· Responsible for building, developing, managing and staffing a production quality team comprising of quality inspectors for inspecting pages of ebook and xml content converted from print source
· Understand and set up the quality process, hiring requirement, quality checklist based on the type of content to be inspected and intended to catch maximum defects
· Apply six sigma/DMAIC or PDCA practices to improve quality
· Set up and manage a quality dashboard as well as quality metrics to measure quality of individual teams
· Manage the effectiveness of inspection process, decide and adjust sampling rates and escalate quality problems to management
· Manage timely performance of root cause and corrective action of customer complaints
· Defining, report and manage quality KPIs and metrics
Skills:
· Graduate in any discipline with diploma in computers with strong understanding of quality concepts.
· Knowledge of content conversion concepts XML / HTML / SGML / DTD / CSS / XSLT/epsilon editor and end-products is preferred but not required
· Understanding or experience in BPO, ITES or content quality is a plus
· Strong metrics and numbers driven and detail oriented approach
· Six sigma understanding and certification is a big plus
· 8+ years of experience
· Go getter with strong personality and ability to stand up to pressure to pass quality from production teams and report defects without prejudice
· Ability to manage, grow, staff a team of quality inspectors is a must
