This position is expected to take the role of the primary change agent in relation to process improvement, IT and other projects; including managing stakeholders, manage communication with all major stakeholder groups, generate maximum business buy-in, build a bridge between BPI and the business, plan and manage execution of training, etc The position is a integral part of the regional team, will be deeply involved in achieving the team goals of improving Damco’s value proposition and the quality of service delivery to the customer.
Business Process Improvement
To look at all existing processes with a magnifying glass, identify areas of improvement, prioritise, look at solutions, execute to achieve the desired results all within established time frames as agreed with stakeholders. Project & Change Management
To take ownership of important process and system implementations within the region. To drive change effectively with minimum disruptions. Process Standardisation
To minimise variations in similar processes across the region, to share best practices not only from within the region but from other countries, companies or even industries. Project Catalogue
To develop a project catalogue which lists all areas identified for improvement along with key parameters and prioritisation based on ease of doing the project and potential impact. To continuosly add to this catalogue via inputs from the organisation. To develop channels of communication that facilitates such an input. Measurements
To establish and maintain measurements for productivity. To documents changes in productivity from each initiative (positive or negative). To ensure stakeholder consensus in quantifying such increases or decreases in productivity. Controls and Audit
To identify risks in processes and establish relevant controls ensuring compliance with company policies and values. To conduct branch visits or off site reviews and ensure compliance with company values and policy and goals. Process and Productivity Goals
To assist the team in achieving its goals of reducing costs and optimising and standardising processes and increasing productivity and customer satisfaction.
